Chinese embassy in Myanmar holds photo exhibition

    YANGON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition in commemorationof the 60th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan opened at the Chinese Embassy here Thursday.

    Attending the inaugural ceremony were Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Li Jinjun, all embassy officials and representatives of Chinese residents and companies doing business in Myanmar.

    Addressing the event, Chinese Embassy Counselor Yu Boren urged people to strive for peace and never to forget the history. He spoke highly of the contribution to the resistance war made by overseas Chinese worldwide.

    The exhibition, "Overseas Chinese and War of Resistance AgainstJapanese Aggression", displays nearly 100 photos reflecting the past involvement and support of the overseas Chinese in the resistance war as well as the disasters brought about by the Japanese aggression. Enditem
