EU draft resolution urges Iran to stop nuclear activities
www.chinaview.cn 2005-08-11 03:22:12

VIENNA, Aug 10 (Xinhuanet) -- The European Union proposed a draft resolution at the UN atomic agency Wednesday calling on Iran to stop nuclear fuel work, a spokesman of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said.

The draft calls on Tehran to immediately resume "full suspension of all(nuclear) enrichment-related activities including the production of fee material." However, it did not mention referring the issue to the UN Security Council.

IAEA spokesman Peter Rickwood confirmed that the draft next had been given to the agency for discussion on Thursday but declined to comment on the content. Enditem
