PARIS, Aug. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy urged Iran on Monday to reconsider its decision to resume nuclear activities, which he said is clearly in violation of its agreement with the international community.

    "I call on Iran one more time, tonight, to listen to the voice of reason and return without delay to full respect of the Paris accord," he told France-Info radio on Monday.

    Iran resumed Monday its uranium conversion activities at its nuclear facility, 10 miles southeast of its city of Isfahan.

    Iran signed an agreement in November in Paris with the Europeantroika (France, Germany and Britain) that act on behalf of the 25-member European Union to accept the suspension of conversion work at the plant and other nuclear facilities.

    The European negotiators and the United States have said they would likely make referral to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) act against Iran and to the United Nations Security Council's economic sanctions if the conversion work at Isfahan resumed. Enditem
