Tibet shown through photographers' eye

    BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- A photo exhibition on China's Tibet Autonomous Region is expected to open at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities, in central Beijing, from August 11-17.

    On display are 400 photos by nearly 100 photographers, according to the organizer of the exhibition, with "Tibet of China -- Past, Reality, Nature" as its theme.

    The show is co-sponsored by the Information Office of the StateCouncil, Chinese Photographers Association and the Information Office of the Tibet Autonomous Region, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the autonomous region.

    The photos on display cover a wide variety of topics, includingnatural scenery, religion, culture and customs, unveiling a multi-perspective picture of today's Tibet. Enditem
