GAZA, Aug. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian militants attacked early Monday
morning several Israeli army outposts in the Gaza Strip by firing mortar shells
and gun shots, Israeli army spokesman reported.
The spokesman told Israel Radio that a mortar landed at one of settlements
in Gush Katif settlement bloc in the southern Gaza Strip, causing no injuries.
Israeli army patrols near the border fence between the Gaza Strip and
Israel came under the Palestinian militants' fire, the spokesman said, adding
that an anti-tank missile was fired at an Israel patrol near the Jewish
settlement of Kfar Darom in the southern Gaza Strip, no injuries were reported.
