Coal mine flooding traps 103 in Guangdong

    GUANGZHOU, Aug. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- A coal mine flood trapped 103 miners in Xingning City of south China's Guangdong Province on Sunday afternoon, local government announced.

    Rescue efforts are underway, said a local government official who asked his name to be anonymous. He refused to give more information.

    The accident took place at Daxing Colliery in Huanghuai Township this afternoon. Enditem
