Israeli army kills Palestinian militant in southern Gaza

    GAZA, Aug. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- The Israeli army said Saturday that it killed a Palestinian militant who attempted to throw bombs at one of Jewish settlements in southern Gaza Strip.

    Israel Radio said three armed Palestinians attempted to reach the fence surrounding the settlement of Geni Tal located in the Gush Katif block in southern Gaza Strip.

    The militants were going to throw bombs at the settlement, and Israeli soldiers opened fire at them and killed at least one.    Enditem
