Typhoon Matsa lands at Zhejiang

    HANGZHOU, Aug. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Typhoon Matsa landed at east China's Zhejiang Province early Saturday morning, according to Zhejiang provincial observatory.

    Its landing occurred at Ganjiang Township in Yuhuan County at 3:40 a.m.

    The typhoon center has been moving northwestward and is expected to pass through cities including Taizhou, Shaoxing, eastern Jinhua, and parts of Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou.

    Most areas in Zhejiang have been slashed by heavy rainfall and serious economic loss is in anticipation in the populous and relatively developed province.

    No casualties have been reported so far. Enditem
