JERUSALEM, Aug. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- A Jewish man in Israel Defense Forces (IDF) uniform opened fire at bus passengers in a Druze neighborhood of the Israeli Arab town of Shfaram Thursday afternoon, killing four people and wounding 12 before being shot dead, local newspaper Haaretz reported on its online edition.
Israeli security forces said that the gunman, Eran Tzuberi, 19, was an IDF deserter and a member of the outlawed right-wing extremist Kach movement from the West Bank settlement of Tapuah.
A Druze man boarded the bus and killed the shooter.
The shooting took place in the wake of a dispute between the soldier and fellow passengers on bus No. 165, which goes from Haifa to Shfaram.
Member of Israeli parliament Mohammed Barakeh classified the incident as a terror attack.
"We are witnessing attempts by extreme right-wing people, terrorists, who want to set the region ablaze and feel they have freedom of action in light of the behavior of the security, political and judicial establishment," he said. Enditem
