LONDON, Aug. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- A woman from Ireland's city of Limerick landed
Thursday the biggest prize of 77 million pounds (about 136.29 million US
dollars) in European lottery history.
Dolores McNamara won the money after picking the right numbers in last
Friday's EuroMillions draw, according to the Sky news.
The EuroMillions jackpot had not been won since the middle of May and had
rolled over nine times.
EuroMillions is played in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal,
Switzerland, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Europe's previous largest jackpot was the 72 million-pound "match six" top
prize won on the Italian Superenalotto in May. Enditem
