Iran's Ahmadinejad assumes presidency

    TEHRAN, Aug. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took over the post as president of the Islamic Republic here Wednesday morning as the country's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei granted warrant to him.
