LONDON, August 2 (Xinhuanet) -- The high alert on Tuesday in central London was proved to be fire caused by technical failures in a bus, police said.

Central London was immediately sealed off after the fire which was said by police as "nothing suspicious".

Minutes after fire, Sky TV reported that central London was sealed off due to a "suspect package" found in a bus while ambulances, bomb disposal units and firefighters were called to the area.

The bus was route 205 double-decker, and a eyewitness said "small fires" were found in the bus.

The sealed-off area is not far from King's cross underground railways station which was hit in the July 7 bomb attacks. Enditem
