www.chinaview.cn 2005-08-01 17:28:20

RAMALLAH, Aug. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will head to Saudi Arabia on Monday to attend the funeral of late king Fahd who passed away earlier in the day.

The death of king Fahd resulted in the delay of an Arab summit originally due in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Wednesday.

The summit is expected to focus on an Israeli Gaza pullout and the situation in Iraq and Lebanon.  Enditem
