ˇˇISLAMABAD, July 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Egyptian envoy to Pakistan here Tuesday said his government has officially denied involvement of any Pakistani citizen in the blasts in the Red Sea resort of Sharm-el-Sheikh, which killed over 60 people.

"Late last night, I received instructions from the Egyptian government to convey to the Pakistani government official denial on the part of Egyptian government, denying the involvement of anyPakistani citizen in the Sharm-el-Sheikh blasts," Egyptian ambassador Hussain Kamel Haridy told Xinhua.

He added he conveyed the message to Pakistani officials throughtelephone since it was too late.

While explaining the fact that Egyptian police are searching for six Pakistanis, Haridy said there were no links between the search and blasts.

"This is true but the search for Pakistanis not related to the Sharm-el- Sheikh explosions, what happened is that the six Pakistani citizens arrived in Egypt within a group and then they left their six passports at the hotel where they were staying and they disappeared after that (blasts), so as a routine security check, we are trying to locate them," the ambassador explained.

Referring to the media reaction before the investigations over the blasts are completed, he said media should be 100 percent surethat what they are saying is true and that they should try their best to issue well-founded reports.

Earlier reports from Cairo suggest that the Egyptian police aresearching for six Pakistani men who were in Egypt's Red Sea resort Sharm el-Sheik during the attacks and have since disappeared. Enditem
