Urgent: Strong quake rocks India's Andamans

    NEW DELHI, July 24 (Xinhuanet) -- A strong earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale rocked India's Andaman and Nicobar islands on Sunday.

    Local residents ran from their homes but so far no immediate reports of casualties or damage, said local police.

    The islands were hit by tsunami on Dec. 26, 2004. Hundreds of people were killed during the disaster. Enditem
