LONDON, July 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A second man has been arrested in connection with Thursday's attempted bombings in London, police said on Saturday.
The man was held in Stockwell, south London, under anti-terror laws, Scotland Yard said.
The arrest was made a day after the police released pictures, taken by security camera, of four men they wanted in connection with Thursday's attempted London bombings.
Images of the four men were released on the day, a fifth suspect was killed at a tube station by armed police.
Scotland Yard said they have received a good response to their appeal for information over the suspects.
They were believed to have tried to detonate three bombs on Tube and one on a bus throughout London.
Strong evidence recovered from the scenes of the planned explosions led to a day of intense hunting Friday.
In the morning, police officers shot a man near Stockwell Tube station, south London. He was believed to have been an accomplice of one of the bombers.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has launched an investigation into the fatal incident.
Around six hours later, armed police stormed a house near the scene of the shooting, arresting a man and his wife and young son, said neighbors, also taken away by police. Enditem
