¡¡LONDON, July 22 (Xinhuanet) -- A man who was suspected of having link to Thursday's bombing attacks was shot dead at the Stockwell tube station by armed police Friday morning.

The station has be evacuated after the incident. A passenger told BBC News that he had seen an Asian man hotly pursued by police run onto the train and was shot five times by "plain-clothes police officers."

Services on the Northern and Victoria lines have been suspended following a request by the police, London Underground Authorities said.

Police are hunting four suspected bombers after Thursday's London blasts that injured one person.

The bombers fled after detonators went off, causing small blasts, but failed to detonate the bombs.

"One of them (policemen) was carrying a black handgun -- it looked like an automatic -- they pushed him to the floor, bundled on top of him and unloaded five shots into him," said another witness.

Shortly after the shooting, armed police have surrounded a Mosque in east London, Sky news reported. No further details were available now.   Enditem
