LONDON, July 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Metropolitan police has confirmed that officers shot dead a man at the Stockwell station at 10:00 am Friday.

    Britain's Sky TV reported earlier that police shot a "suspected suicide bomber" at the Stockwell underground train station in south London. The Northern and Victoria lines have been suspended.
