Blasts hit 3 London subway stations, bus

LONDON, July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Two people were detained in connection with London underground and bus minor explosions on Thursday, said London police.

A number of London underground stations have been evacuated and lines closed after minor blasts occurred at three tube stations and a bus.

One person was reported injured in a nail bomb explosion at Warren Street station, central London.

Tony Blair, British Prime Minister, said at a press conference that the explosions were designed to frighten people.

The blasts came exactly two weeks after more than 56 people were killed and over 700 people injured in blasts on underground railway trains and a bus in London.   Enditem
