LONDON July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Three London tube stations were cleared and three underground lines were shut down after minor explosions took place on Thursday.
Police cordoned off large areas around Warren Street, Oval and Shepherd's Bush Tube stations in Eastern London.
There were reports of smoke coming from two of the stations.
One was injured at Warren Street station, Sky news channel quoted British Transport Company as reporting.
The whole of the Northern Line has been suspended, along with the Victoria Line and the Hammersmith and City.
An eyewitness at Oval station said there had been a small bang,and a man had then run off when the Tube reached the station.
Three tube lines have been closed down for the moment. Emergency services rushed to three London underground stations in London after reports of explosions two weeks after bomb attacks killed 56 people and injured 700 in the British capital.
London fire brigade said smoke was seen coming from one train and there were also reports of a minor explosion on a bus in the Hackney area of east London. Its windows were blown out. Enditem |
