LONDON, July 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Five Britons were seriously injured in Saturday's deadly blast on a minibus at the resort of Kusadasi on Turkey's Aegean coast, the Sky news reported.

Earlier, British Foreign Office confirmed two British nationalswere seriously injured in the blast which has killed four people, three of them foreign tourists, and injured 14 others.

"There have been a number of fatalities and injuries. Two Britons have sustained serious injuries in the blast. Our senior honorary consul in Izmir is on the way to the hospital. Consular staff are at the scene," said a Foreign Office spokeswoman.

Turkey's Anatolia news agency reported that a 16-year-old boy is among the five critically injured British tourists.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the blast, reportedly triggered by a female suicide bomber, as a "terrorist attack".

Kusadasi, 72 km southeast of the port city of Izmir, is a popular destination for British holidaymakers, according to the Association of British Travel Agents. Enditem
