Suicide car bomber kills 8 in northeastern Baghdad

    BAGHDAD, July 15 (Xinhuanet) -- A suicide car bomber blew himself up near an Iraqi army checkpoint in northeastern Baghdad on Friday,killing at least eight people and wounding 28 others.

    Six Iraqi soldiers and two civilians were killed in the explosion, a police source from the Baghdad Police Headquarters told Xinhua. Enditem
