London bombing suspect arrested in Egypt

    WASHINGTON, July 15 (Xinhuanet) -- The alleged bomb-builder in the July 7 London terror attacks has been arrested in Cairo, Egypt, the ABC news reported from here on Friday.

    Magdy Elnashar, 33, is believed to have been a possible mastermind in the bombings that killed 54 people with some 700 injured, the report said, citing sources including the FBI.

    Elnashar, a US-trained chemist, was captured in a Cairo suburb,it said. He is being questioned in Cairo, it added.

    Authorities believed he had left Britain two weeks before the attacks, said the report. More
