BEIJING, July 15 -- Chinese mainland actress Zhou Xun will act the leading role in "Night Banquet", a new film by director Feng Xiaogang.

    Wang Zhonglei, chief executive of the film company praised the choice saying Zhou Xun's excellent acting, singing and dancing skills made her perfect for the part. He predicted that Zhou's performance in the film would rival that of Zhang Ziyi in "House of Flying Daggers".

    "Night Banquet" is concerned with the emotion of desire and will protray the uncertainty of fate through fighting, dancing and story telling.

    Other cast members will also be announced next week.
