STOCKHOLM, July 13 (Xinhuanet) -- A terrorist group warned that Denmark is next on the list of targets, Ritzau news bureau reported on Wednesday.

    The Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades threatened to target Denmark as the next European country that can expect a terror attack.

    The group is the same one that claimed responsibility for the Madrid train bombings, reported daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

    It is the second time since the London bombings last week that Denmark has been cited as a target for terror by extremist groups.

    "This is a warning to all European countries, but first and foremost to Denmark, which still has soldiers stationed in Muslim countries. It won't be safe in your countries as long as your soldiers, the murderers, are present in Muslim countries," the group wrote in its message.

    Denmark is a staunch supporter of the United States and has committed about 570 troops in Iraq, most involved in training Iraqi security forces based in the southern part of the country. Enditem
