BEIJING, July 13 -- The Metropolitan Police have
identified four men suspected of carrying out last week's London bombings.
They said it was "very likely" that one suspect had died in the blasts. They were trying to work out if all four bombers had blown themselves up deliberately.
The four men had traveled to London on the day of the
blasts and been captured on closed-circuit television footage at King's Cross
station shortly before 8:30 a.m.
Police have arrested one suspect after a series of
raids Tuesday in Leeds, a northern city with a strong Muslim community.
The arrest was made with the help of personal
documents bearing names of three of the four bombers close to the scenes of the
bombing.
Police said at least three of the suspected bombers
came from the West Yorkshire region, which includes Leeds.
British government has already said last Thursday's
attacks are likely done by Islamic extremists, blamed for the 9/11 attacks on
the United States and the bombing of Madrid's train network last year.
