NEW DELHI, July 11 (Xinhuanet) -- A top militant of the Lashker-e-Taiba outfit was killed Sunday in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir in counter-terrorism operations waged by the Indian Army, Indo-Asian News Service reported Monday.
Indian troops sighted and engaged the militant Hafiz Peer in Ogad in a forested area of Doda district Sunday evening in a gun battle that lasted for more than two hours, Indian Army spokesman Col. D.K. Badola said.
