Premier offers condolences to Blair over London blasts

    BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Friday sent a message of condolences to British Prime Minister Tony Blair over the London bombing attacks on Thursday.

    In the message, Wen condemned the terrorist attacks, expressing his deep grief over the victims, and offering his heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and the injured.

    On the same day, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing also offered his condolences to his British counterpart Jack Straw over the London blasts.

    Several explosions rocked London's transportation network in the morning rush hour on Thursday, killing at least 50 people and injuring some 700. Enditem
