www.chinaview.cn 2005-07-08 14:04:46

BEIJING, July 8 -- The visiting delegation of New Party in Taiwan paid tribute to the Dr. Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum and the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders Friday morning.

The head of the delegation, New Party's Chairman Yok Mu-ming laid a floral wreath before the sedentary statue of Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of the Chinese democratic revolution.

At the Memorial Hall, Yok Mu-ming called on all the Chinese compatriots to never forget national humiliation, be united and make concerted efforts to promote peace, prosperity and reunification of the motherland.

Yok, also urged the Japanese militarist and rightist forces to repent their wartime crimes and take history as mirror.

The 30-member delegation arrived in Nanjing from Guangzhou Thursday afternoon for the second leg of their eight-day mainland tour known as "a journey of the Chinese nation".

The tour, from July 6 to 13, will also take them to Dalian and Beijing.
