LONDON, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair vows upon back to London from Scotland on Thursday that the "British people will not be intimidated and terrorists won't win."

Speaking in Downing Street, the prime minister said: "It is a very sad day for the British people but we will hold true to the British way of life."

Blair said that most Moslems, and many of them live in London are decent and law-biding people, implying that the attacks on London's transportation systems, underground railways and buses, were carried out by Muslin extremists.

"When they want to divide us and intimidate us, we will not be divided and our resolve will be firm," he said.

Blair earlier returned to London from the G8 summit in Gleneagles, but has made clear the summit will continue.

A statement from the G8 called the blasts "an attack not on one nation but on all nations and civilized people". Enditem
