Leaders of G8, 5 developing countries start discussion

    GLENEAGLES, SCOTLAND, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- leaders of Group of Eight (G8) and five developing countries, or China, India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico, are meeting in Gleneagles, Scotland, on Thursday, to discuss the global economy, climate change and other major world issues.

    On the sidelines of the informal meeting, Chinese President Hu Jintao is scheduled to meet some leaders of G8 members to discuss bilateral and major international issues. The G8 consists of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States and Russia. Enditem
