Armstrong retains Tour de France lead

    PARIS, July 6 (Xinhuanet) -- American Lance Armstrong retained the overall lead in the Tour de France after Australia's Robbie McEwenwon the fifth stage in a sprint finish on Wednesday.

    McEwen, of Davitamon-Lotto, sped ahead of Belgian Tom Boonen ina final sprint to collect his sixth Tour stage win, his first this year, from the 183km ride from Chambord to Montargis.

    Armstrong captured the overall lead Tuesday from fellow American David Zabriskie, a Team CSC rider, who fell in a dramatic crash in the final moments of the stage. Enditem
