If this cabinet cannot put an end to security deterioration andchaos in our Palestinian territories, this means that there has to be room for another new cabinet accomplish this task, vowed Qurei.

"Security of the Palestinian citizen is a priority to be discussed in the cabinet's future meetings," he said, adding other basis issue would be the Israeli occupation and its procedures against the Palestinian people.
On the intended Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, Qurei said "we need to know from the Israelis how they will implement withdrawal and what will happen on the crossings, for example, Rafah Crossing (on the border with Egypt)."
"We trust our Egyptian brothers and we don't want any Israeli presence on Rafah Crossing or in any part of the Gaza Strip," he said.
Meanwhile, Qurei underlined that "on the linkage between Gaza Strip and West Bank, we need to know how this will work and don't want Gaza Strip to become a prison."
