KUNMING, July 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra arrived in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, on Monday morning for the second summit of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program.

Haruhiko Kuroda, president of the Asian Development Bank (ADB),has also arrived here.

Thaksin on Saturday concluded his official visit to China, which took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand.

The second GMS summit is due to be held on Monday and Tuesday, with the participation of prime ministers of the six GMS member countries, namely Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
