The UN peacekeeping police sealed off the areas after the explosions and had launched investigations.

Police are examing the site of an explosion.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the blasts. A spokesman of the UN mission said it was too soon to say whether the explosions were part of a plot to attack international agencies in the Serbian province.

Kosovo is a province of Serbia. Under UN Security Council Resolution 1244, it has been a mandated region of the United Nations and NATO since June 1999, when the Kosovo war ended.

The explosions came as the United Nations has launched a reviewon the future of the province, including whether it should remain part of Serbia or become independent as its Albanian majority demands. Enditem
