Police are examing the site of
an explosion. | There
has been no claim of responsibility for the blasts. A spokesman of the UN
mission said it was too soon to say whether the explosions were part of a plot
to attack international agencies in the Serbian province.
Kosovo is a province of Serbia. Under UN Security
Council Resolution 1244, it has been a mandated region of the United Nations and
NATO since June 1999, when the Kosovo war ended.
The explosions came as the United Nations has
launched a reviewon the future of the province, including whether it should
remain part of Serbia or become independent as its Albanian majority demands.
