BAGHDAD, June 26 (Xinhuanet) -- At least 16 people were killed andsome wounded in a suicide bomb attack on an Iraqi military base near the northern city of Mosul on Sunday, the US military said.

    A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up among a crowd of Iraqis, including soldiers, at an army base in Kasak area between Mosul and the flashpoint town of Tal Afar to the west, the military said.

    The blast was apparently followed by another, an Iraqi militarysource said, adding the other blast was likely a car bomb. Enditem
