HARBIN, June. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- From workers in blue suits busy at production lines to semi-finished airplanes parking on a huge tarmac, amiable Bayingana from Rwanda found himself surrounded by interesting sights that he could keep a record of to take back home.

    "It's impressive," he said, snapping photos and taking notes. The management of Chinese state-owned companies provides valuable experience for public-owned companies in his own country, he noted.

    "Though the company is very big, it is well-managed," he said.

    As a member of the delegation of ruling parties from 9 African countries, Bayingana and his peers are visiting the Harbin Aviation Group here Friday, a state-owned enterprise of China in northeastern Heilongjiang Province.

    The company is a major Chinese producer of automobiles and planes. Patrick Herminie from Seychelles was satisfied with the car he tried in the workshop. Sitting in the cab, he held the steering wheel and pressed the acceleration pedal.

    "Well, the car is very good," he said with a broad smile.

    Learning that the price of the car is only 70,000 yuan (about 8,400 US dollars), his eyes widened with surprise. Similar cars in his country would cost 175,000 yuan (some 21,000 US dollars), he said.

    The car also impressed Francois Wakata Bowine from Cameroon. He said the Chinese car is suitable for African countries since it is relatively low-priced but well-designed. "I hope one day there will be Chinese cars in Cameroon," he said.

    In the airplane factory, Bowine showed great interest in China's capacity for making airplanes, since airplanes in Cameroon are mostly imported from the United States and France.

    "I hope we can carry out cooperation with China in manufacturing planes. Both China and Cameroon are developing countries, and we hope China can help us go further in development," he said.

    The delegation was invited by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee for a 16-day study tour in China. Heilongjiang, as an important base of heavy industries and agriculture, is the second leg of their China trip.

    The delegation will visit Daqing, an oil production base, and Qiqihar, a traditional industrial city, after wrapping up their visit in Harbin. They will also travel to Shandong Province in east China, visiting private firms, hi-tech companies and economic development zones with foreign investment.

    During their visit in Beijing, the delegates attended a seminaron strengthening relations between China and African countries.

    The delegates are from the ruling parties of nine African countries, including Seychelles People's Progressive Front, Rwandan Patriotic Front, Cameroon People's Democratic Rally, Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, Rally of the Togolese People, Tiako I Mada-gasikara, National Movement for Social Development of Niger, Party of Unity and Progress of Guinea, Popular Rally for Progress of Djibouti.
