Kung Fu star Jet Li must have offended the God of Luck, as he fell from a 13-meter-high platform while recently shooting an action film in Shanghai.
Fortunately there was a doctor on site who immediately offered him first aid.

The accident occurred when Li and another actor were performining a dramatic combat scene. Under continuous attack from his rival, Li took a big step backward to avoid the attack and fell.

Thanks to the precautions taken by movie staff, Li landed on a large mattress and was not seriously hurt.

According to the doctor, Li was not hurt, except for minor injuries on his leg and arm. He is expected to recover after resting for at least a few days.

Li is perhaps the second best-known living Asian martial arts star in the United States, after Jackie Chan. He was originally cast for the leading role in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (¡¶ÎÔ»¢²ØÁú¡·), but turned it down in order to act in the movie "Romeo Must Die" (¡¶ÖÂÃüÂÞÃ×Å·¡·).

Though he had experienced countless exhilarating action scenes, Li himself was still a little afraid when looking back on the fight.
