BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhuanet) -- A tour exhibition on Marxist cultural and art work will kick off in Shanghai on July 23, the day when the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in 1921.
Speaking Wednesday afternoon at a press conference, Li Youlin, office director of China's Caring About the Next Generation Working Committee, said the exhibition will show the great thoughts, personality and practices of philosopher Karl Marx.
Li said the exhibition is a good opportunity to educate China'syouth about Marx, which "is of special importance to today's young people, who are the only children in the families."
More than 1,100 pieces of art work concerning Marxism will be displayed on the tour exhibition, including the CPC party constitutions in about 80 editions, from the third CPC national congress to the 16th's, and more than 160 sorts of badges and banners.
The exhibition is sponsored by the China Action of Caring About the Youth Growth and the organizing committee of "China Root" Cultural Activities.
Zhao Peng, planner of China Action of Caring About the Youth Growth, said the exhibition is scheduled to be held in all major Chinese cities within three years. After that the organizing committee will consider sending it abroad. Enditem |
