BRUSSELS, June 16 (Xinhuanet) -- The European Union (EU) leaders decoded on Thursday to extend the deadline to ratify the European Constitutional Treaty beyond the planned November 2006.
During the period, the member states are free to continue the ratification process, said Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker, who chairs the two-day EU summit here.
However, there would be no re-negotiation on the Constitution, said Juncker, noting that the present one is the best choice for the 25-nation bloc. Enditem
