JAKARTA, June 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian National Police Chief General Da'i Bachtiar disclosed here Tuesday that diverting information always comes out after the police find a plan of bombing in the country, which therefore confuses people and the police themselves.
However, the terrible thing is that the diverting information sometimes can come true, Bachtiar said, in the wake of consistent eruption of information about terror strikes in the world's largest Muslim country.
"It always happens. Every time (we find) information that there will be terrorist attacks in the form of bombings, diverting information follows," he said, adding that such information can be passed around quickly and cause scarcity among people.
Recently, a number of office buildings in Indonesia's capital of Jakarta have been threatened to be exploded, which created panic.
In addition, western countries have also warned over the possible terrorist attacks in the country, which aggravated the panic.
Bachtiar himself once confirmed that terrorist cells in Indonesia led by dangerous Malaysians, bomb expert Azhari Husin and terror coordinator Noerdin Mohammad Top, have increased their activities of communication for preparing another strike in the country.
Familiar information received by the US intelligence earlier prompted the closure of the US diplomatic missions in the country. Enditem |
