Bolivian president appoints military commanders

    LIMA, June 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Bolivian President Eduardo Rodriguezon Saturday appointed military and police commanders.

    The armed forces are headed by Commander General Luis Aranda, with the Army headed by General Cesar Lopez, Air Force by General Oscar Mariscal, and Navy by Rear Admiral Marco Justiniano.

    General David Aramayo was appointed as commander of the National Police, according to reports from La Paz.

    Rodriguez was installed as president by Congress on Thursday after the resignation of then President Carlos Mesa. Enditem
