TOKYO, June 10 (Xinhuanet) -- About 50 students at a high school in Hikari,
south Japan's Yamaguchi Prefecture, were injured and taken to local hospitals
Friday after a student there allegedly threw an explosive into a classroom.
According to the National Police Agency, one student sustained heavy
injuries but remains conscious.
An 18-year-old male senior at the prefectural government-run Hikari Senior
High School was arrested on suspicion of assault, the agency said.
The police said the student has admitted to the
allegations, adding that the explosive may have been a glass bottle containing
what appears to be firecrackers. Enditem |
