ADDIS ABABA, June 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Senior officials' meeting of the
China-Africa Cooperation Forum would be held in August in the Chinese capital
Beijing for two days, the Chinese embassy said here Wednesday.
The forum, slated to be held from Aug. 22 to 23, would deliberate on the implementation of
areas of cooperation, mentioned in the Plan of Action endorsed at the second
ministerial meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum held here in December
2003, said a news release from the Chinese embassy.
The news release said senior officials were due to dwell on the agendas of
the third ministerial meeting scheduled to be held in China in late 2006.
Ethiopia successfully hosted in 2003 the second ministerial meeting of the
China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which was established in China in 2000, it said.
Ethiopia has been serving as joint chair country of the forum since
December 2003, it added. Enditem |
