-- An Israeli aircraft on Wednesday launched a missile attack at a group of
Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip but causing no casualties, Palestinian
witnesses said.
The unmanned Israeli drone fired two missiles at
three members of al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, near the southern
Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.
Witnesses said the three Hamas militants, who were
about to launch homemade rockets at Jewish settlements, survived the targeted
killing unhurt.
Palestinian medical sources confirmed that there were
no casualties.
The incident took place shortly after Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Gaza to hold talks with Palestinian
militant groups including Hamas over the current de
facto truce with Israel and the postponement of the legislative elections
originally scheduled for July 17. Enditem
