¡¡LONDON, June 6 (Xinhuanet) -- British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw
said on Monday that Britain will postpone plans for a referendum on the European
Union constitution.
"Until the consequences of France and the Netherlands being unable to ratify the treaty
are clarified, it would not in our judgment now be sensible to set a date for
second reading" of the legislation for the referendum, he told the House of
Commons. Enditem |
