
BEIJING, June 3 -- A dance version of the classic Chinese story Farewell My Concubine is to tour three major cities of Japan this September.
The performance will be the finale to Japan's Shanghai Week aimed at promoting the 2010 Shanghai EXPO.
Farewell My Concubine debuts in Aichi on September 5th, followed by a dozen performances in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
The dance version of Farewell My Concubine was created in 2003.
It boasts first-class talent such as Zhao Ming, the director of the renowned dance drama The Glistering Red Star and Zhang Qianyi, a famous Chinese composer.
