Tom Cruise & Michelle Yeoh

    BEIJING, June 3 -- Paramount's "Mission: Impossible 3," starring Tom Cruise and Michelle Yeoh, is set to start filming soon, partly in China, the Chinese broadcaster CRI reported Wednesday.

    In the movie, Tom Cruise drives a motorcycle loaded with guns through the streets of Shanghai. "Tomorrow Never Dies" star Yeoh will play Tom's ex-wife.

    J.J. Abrams will direct the third installment. He already picked Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("Velvet Goldmine") to act alongside Cruise. She will portray an associate of Cruise's character Ethan Hunt.

    The movie is expected to hit theaters summer 2006.
