GAZA, June 1 (Xinhuanet) -- The Islamic Jihad (Holy War) urged on Wednesday all Palestinian militant groups to reconsider the declared truce with Israel as Israel keeps violating it.

All Palestinian factions' armed wings "must be careful and awareand not to rely on the truce while Israel continues violating it" Khadder Adnan, Jihad's spokesman in the West Bank, said in a statement.

He criticized Israel for continuing the act of killing Palestinians, incurring into towns and cities and detaining dozens of Palestinians, especially in recent days when the Israeli army arrested several Islamic Jihad members in the West Bank.

The truce "could never be unilateral and could never be offered to the occupation for free," Adnan said.

"Therefore we call on Palestinian factions' armed wings to reconsider this truce in order not to be losers at the end," he continued.

After Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon agreed in February to end violence, the Islamic Jihad, as well as another 12 Palestinian factions, declaredin March in Cairo to halt attacks against Israel. Enditem
