HARBIN, May 31, 2005 (Xinhuanet) -- Six hundred children from Heihe, a city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, went to Blagoveschensk, a city in Russia, Tuesday to join their Russian peers in International Children's Day celebrations, which fall on Wednesday.

Six hundred Russian children came to Heihe on Monday for a gathering with Chinese teachers and students. Children from both countries played games, drew pictures, played table tennis and had performance together to celebrate the upcoming festival.

The exchange visits between children from Heihe and Blagoveshchensk have been held 12 times since 1998. Enditem
